NodaPay is a payment gateway, not a wallet. There is no need to register, top up your balance, or download an app. It acts as an intermediary between Lalabet and your bank for the few seconds it takes to process the transfer.

Here’s what happens behind the scenes when you make a deposit. NodaPay sends a payment request to your bank. Your bank asks you to confirm the amount. After your approval, the money leaves your account and goes to Lalabet. NodaPay does not hold your funds at any stage of this process.

The company operates under a PSD2 license in the EU. PSD2 is a European directive that made open banking possible. It has the same legal basis as iDEAL and dozens of other bank-related payment services.

NodaPay has coverage across almost the entire Dutch banking market. These banks are currently available:

• Knab.

No pre-registration or linking step is required. If you hold an account at one of these banks, NodaPay is ready to go.

Depositing takes less than a minute. The steps are simple:

1. Open the Lalabet and navigate to the deposit section.
2. Find NodaPay in the list of payment methods.
3. Enter the deposit amount in euros.
4. Select your bank from the drop-down list.
5. Your bank’s login page will open. Confirm the payment in the same way you would confirm any online purchase. Depending on your bank, this may involve scanning a QR code, using Face ID, or entering a code from your hardware token.

That’s it. The funds will be credited to your Lalabet account immediately.

• Bank error or declined payment. Most Dutch banks have configurable daily limits for online transfers. If the deposit amount exceeds that limit, the bank will block it silently. Open your banking app, find the transfer limit settings, and raise the ceiling if needed;
• Session timed out. The bank’s confirmation screen stays active for a limited time. If you wait too long, the session expires and the deposit is cancelled. Start over and approve the payment within the first minute;
